My name is Jo Gentry. I am a member of San Francisco Massage Therapy because masssage is my way of making a difference on the planet. Helping to relieve stress and pain in another human being is a powerful and rewarding experience.

I have been a Massage Therapist for 18 years. Each massage I give is a unique journey. I believe in listening to the client's body with my hands and creating trust on a somatic level. I do not believe in painful or "forced" massage.

I believe that one of the most effective ways to create a powerful massage experience for the client, is to encourage them to BREATHE deeply at the beginning of the massage!

I specialize in Body Cupping Massage. I combine it in a session with skin brushing. Combined, this is a powerful detoxifying treatment for the lymphatic system of the body. I specialize in Hypno-Stone Massage. This profound journey begins with deep breathing, rocking of the body, and a relaxation trance induction. I then massage the client with warm stones. This creates a phenomenal stress reduction in the musculature system. The hypnotic suggestions targeted toward the client's specific stress areas, support profound release of tension for the client, during and after the session. I also do Spiritwave Shiatsu and Swedish massage.

I am certified in BioSonic Repatterning. I am fascinated by the healing potential of vibration and sound. My other fields of study include: breathwork, drumming, trance drumming and chanting.

My other specialty is soma-tuning. This is a subtle but powerful relaxation therapy. it involves the use of tuning forks being applied to the body. Their vibration is conducted into the muscles and bones of the body. This causes a profound relaxation response to set in.
